Acupuncture can increase IVF success rates
A systematic review and meta-analysis published in July 2023, which analyzed twenty-five trials involving 4,757 participants, found that acupuncture can significantly enhance the clinical pregnancy rate (CPR) and the live birth rate (LBR) among women undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Additionally, a study in 2019 reported that acupuncture was effective in increasing CPR by 28% to 32%, the ongoing pregnancy rate (OPR) by 42%, and LBR by 30% when compared to no treatment.
